Nick has been best known for playing slightly off characters in such films as CON AIR as William 'Billy Bedlam' Beford, THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK as the mercinary Toombs for which Nick also voiced in the animated direct-to-video comapanion THE CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK: DARK FURY, renegade cop in the Denzel Washington actioner TRAINING DAY, Navy SEAL in the Antone Fuqua film TEARS OF THE SUN, as Vice-Cardinum Ferdinand Daxus in the Kurt Wimmer/Mila Jovovich film ULTRAVIOLET, and in the David Twohy film BELOW as Chief. While Nick's more noteable films have carved the way for him to be seen, his independent films have been the proving ground for his more subtle performances. Included: THE FIFTH PATIENT, FELON, 100 MILE RULE, GOODNIGHT JOSEPH PARKER, ONCE IN THE LIFE, CHUTNEY POPCORN, AMY'S ORGASM, and in the film A BROTHER'S KISS which Nick also co-produced. Nick received critical acclaim in the Marc Benardout film SINNER where Nick plays the part of Father Anthony Romano a disillusioned priest who faces a clash of faith, love, and golf when he meets a prostitute. While Nick's film career has been numerous, he first came to the attention of the viewing public as the serial fetishist killer Donald Addie Pfaster in the second season episode Irrisistible of THE X-FILES, reprising the role again in the seventh season episode Orison. Nick also appeared in the Dick Wolf prceedural franchises LAW & ORDER and LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT playing another memorable serial killer Matthew Linwood Brodus. Nick almost won the part of the lead character of Det. Elliot Stabler, losing out to Christopher Meloni. Nick's other numerous appearances have also included CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, BUFFY, THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, GHOST WHISPERER, ER, THE SOPRANOS, SLEEPER CELL, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, 24, and THE RED SHOE DIARIES. NICK CHINLUND ONLINE || "THE ONION MOVIE" SCREENCAPS
I've screencapped up Nick's film THE ONION MOVIE and they're now available in the gallery. Nick is so funny and irreverant. Nick's character of Bryce Brand is representative of the current spate of celebrities going into rehab to clean themselves up. In this case in the extended scenes of Brand's 'getting back to nature' after a stay in a Betty Ford type of facility, Brand is taken back to be 're-toxified' because he cannot handle his life as it became. There's a funny series of Nick with little white puppies in the deleted scenes. Check 'em out.
